The Twins, 2001, 20th Anniversary Print

It is the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the memory of the Twin Towers is ever present on my mind.

For 4 years, my buddy and I had gone into Greenwich Village on Halloween to document the largest, most amazing party on the east coast.

That year, there was a huge question mark hanging on the night air. We weren’t sure if the parade was even going to happen, let alone people show up.

To our happy surprise, the denizens of the city showed up, in a myriad of costumes, and lit the night up with their energy.

They seemed to be saying, “No. You cannot crush the spirit of NYC and America!”
